Visitation Center

If you have been referred to the Visitation Center, please contact the Center at (410) 916-5778 as soon as possible. If no one answers, leave a message and someone will return your call.

Purpose

As one component of a larger community response to domestic violence, Baltimore City’s Visitation Center provides a safe location at which parents may exchange or visiting parents may visit children in an abuse-free environment that promotes healthy interaction and serves as an access point for referring families to additional supportive services.

Baltimore City’s Visitation Center is funded through the Office on Violence Against Women’s Safe Havens program to serve victims of domestic violence and their families in the Baltimore metro area. The Visitation Center has been jointly planned and implemented by the Governor’s Office on Crime Control & Prevention, the Mayor’s Office on Criminal Justice, House of Ruth Maryland, and the Circuit Court for Baltimore City and Memorandum of Understanding partners, such as the Baltimore City District Court.
